4 Week Course - Block Print & Sew!

In weeks 1 & 2, Rosanna will teach you how to cut your own block and block print a pattern onto 100% ramie linen, a sustainable fabric made from nettles.

In weeks 3 & 4, Jen will then teach you how to lay and cut out your garment pieces and after which you'll sew your hand printed fabric into a simple t-shirt.

The small group setting will ensure plenty of 1:1 time to help you create your designs.

All materials and equipment are provided for the course so all you need to do is come along!

This course is suitable for beginners to printmaking, however prior use of a sewing machine would be really beneficial to help you get the most out of the class! Details:

•  4 week course each Wednesday, starting on 15 May 2024, ending on 5 June.
• Each class is between 2.5 hours and 3 hours, starting at 6.30pm.
• Not suitable for children under 12 due to sharp tools! 
• 2 weeks led by Rosanna, 2 weeks by Jen, all in Abbeymount Techbase in Edinburgh.
• Requires 3 people for the class to run.
